OUR GOALS

To provide input and support for the following priorities:

• Foster the understanding that environmental issues, and particularly water, are a component of every significant decision facing Shelter Island

• Protect residential zoning and open space from commercial encroachment while supporting efforts to responsibly manage zoning

• Work with local non-profits dedicated to protecting the local groundwater and the local bays

• Encourage the Town Board to embrace open and transparent processes regarding issues with an environmental or zoning component

• Support a community solution to affordable housing that balances the needs of all islanders, including access to clean water and open space
